By adhering to these ethical guidelines, the Annals of Interdisciplinary Research strives to maintain the integrity of the academic record and foster a culture of honesty, transparency, and accountability in scholarly publishing.

Declaration of generative AI in scientific writing:

Authors must declare the use of generative AI in the writing of their manuscripts upon submission. This guidance pertains specifically to the writing process and does not include the use of AI tools for data analysis or deriving insights from research data:

  • Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies should be used solely to enhance the readability and language of the manuscript.
  • The application of these technologies must involve human oversight and control. Authors are responsible for thoroughly reviewing and editing the AI-generated content, as AI can produce authoritative-sounding text that may be incorrect, incomplete, or biased. Authors are ultimately accountable for the content of their work.
  • AI and AI-assisted technologies should not be listed or cited as authors or co-authors, as authorship implies responsibilities and tasks that only humans can fulfill.
To declare the use of generative AI in the writing process, authors must add a statement at the end of the manuscript when first submitting the paper. This statement will be included in the published work, placed in a new section before the references list. An example format is provided below:

Title of new section: Declaration of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process.

Statement: During the preparation of this work, the author(s) used [NAME TOOL/SERVICE] to [REASON]. The author(s) reviewed and edited the content as needed after using this tool/service and take(s) full responsibility for the content of the published article.

This declaration is not required for the use of basic tools such as those used for grammar, spelling, and reference checks. If no AI tools were used, there is no need to add this statement.

Submission guidelines:

  • The contribution must be original and unpublished work of the contributors.
  • The plagiarism should be less than 15% andinformation should be properly cited.
  • All manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word, Times New Roman, Font Size- 12 for text, 14 for headings and line spacing should be 1.5.
  • The reference of the manuscript should be given at the end of the paper and in APA format.
  • The manuscripts must have an abstract within 300 words, 4-5 keywords and the total words of the manuscript including abstract should be between 3000 to 5000 words.
  • All submissions will be peer-reviewed and a manuscript submitted may be accepted or rejected or accepted with revisions on the basis of peer-review.
  • The name of author(s), designation, official address along with email ID should mentioned below the main title of the paper.
  • No publication fee will be charged for both the journals.

Peer Review Process:

The Annals of Interdisciplinary Research adheres to a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published research. Here is a detailed description of the process:

Submission and Initial Screening:

1. Manuscript Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system.
2. Initial Screening: The editorial office conducts an initial screening to verify the manuscript’s compliance with the journal’s guidelines and its relevance to the journal’s scope. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria are promptly returned to the authors.

Assignment to an Editor:

3. Editor Assignment: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to an editor with expertise in the relevant field. The editor reviews the manuscript to determine if it meets the journal’s standards for originality and significance.

Reviewer Selection:

4. Reviewer Invitation: The editor identifies and invites potential reviewers who have expertise in the manuscript’s subject area. The reviewers are selected based on their knowledge, experience, and absence of conflicts of interest.
5. Reviewer Acceptance: Invited reviewers accept or decline the invitation based on their availability and expertise. If a reviewer declines, the editor invites an alternative reviewer.

Review Process:

6. Reviewing: Reviewers conduct a thorough evaluation of the manuscript, assessing its methodology, originality, significance, clarity, and adherence to ethical standards. They provide constructive feedback and make a recommendation (accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject).
7. Reviewer Reports: Reviewers submit their reports through the online system, providing detailed comments and suggestions for the authors.

Editorial Decision:

8. Editor’s Decision: Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor makes a decision regarding the manuscript. The possible outcomes are acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection.
9. Feedback to Authors: The editor communicates the decision to the authors, providing the reviewers’ comments and any additional guidance for revisions if applicable.

Revisions and Resubmission:

10. Author Revisions: If revisions are required, authors revise their manuscript according to the reviewers’ and editor’s feedback. Authors resubmit the revised manuscript along with a detailed response to the reviewers’ comments.
11. Re-review (if necessary): For major revisions, the revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation.

Final Decision:

12. Final Review and Decision: The editor reviews the revised manuscript and the reviewers’ comments (if applicable) to make a final decision.
13. Acceptance and Production: Once the manuscript is accepted, it is sent to the production team for copyediting, formatting, and publication.

Publication:

14. Publication: The final, approved version of the manuscript is published in the Annals of Interdisciplinary Research and made available online.
