This Department came into existence since the college was established in the year 1990 with the main objective to offer Undergraduate TDC courses, both B.A Hons as well as Pass courses. The syllabus of B.A course is framed based on Assam University, Silchar CBCS guidelines. The main objective of the department is to impart quality education in the various fields of History subject.
To encourage the students in the various fields of history like concept, theory and events of history from ancient world to modern and post modern world. And further to implement their knowledge effectively for the welfare of the society.
