Overview

The Department came into existence in July, 2020 with a major objective to serve as a centre of academic excellence in the area of Under Graduate education in Mathematics. The department currently offers BA/B.Sc. Core as well as BA/B.Sc. Elective courses.

Vision

To expound Mathematical principles combined with the demonstration of Mathematical laws in fundamental as well as in applied branches of science to stimulate intuition in young minds.

Mission

To provide proper understanding of the subject matter by means of conventional and skilful approaches.

To provide quality education in undergraduate mathematics to meet and develop the attitude and ability to apply mathematical methods and ideas in a wide variety of careers in education, business, industry or government.

To update students as well as faculty members on immerging areas and innovative ideas by conducting talks, workshops, symposia on regular intervals.

To cooperate with other departments in providing students with necessary concepts and skills in mathematics.
